Step 2: Prepare the Avocado
- Cut the ripe avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh.
- Dice the avocado into small cubes.
- Drizzle a small amount of lime juice over the avocado to prevent browning, and lightly season with salt and pepper.
Step 3: Assemble the Dish
- Arrange both the lettuce leaves diced avocado on serving plates, creating a base for the tartare.
- Gently place the tuna tartare mixture on top.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for a touch of crunch and garnish with a drizzle of chili oil for extra flavor and heat (if desired).
Step 4: Serve
- Serve immediately as a refreshing and flavorful appetizer or light meal.
Tips
- For extra flavor, you can also add finely chopped cucumber or a dash of wasabi to the tuna tartare mixture.
- If you prefer a slightly richer tartare, consider adding a small amount of mayo to the tuna mixture.
